When learning something new, there are countless techniques you can use, but the key is takin action. Without it, knowledge remains potential. Real growth happens when you put knowledge practice. The concept of improving by 1% each day resonates with me because it highlights the power of small, consistent efforts. Over time, these improvements compound into something extraordinary.

In my own journey, I've discovered that tying new skills to something I'm passionate about makes the process far more enjoyable and effective. Passion doesn't just make the learning curve feel less daunting—it transforms it into an exhilarating climb.

This blog, for instance, started as an offshoot of my love for NFL football. I wanted to create a simple app to generate my weekly picks. At first, it was just a fun way to combine programming with my interest in sports. But as I dug deeper, I realized it was more than a hobby—it was an opportunity to grow.

The process led me to explore different statistical models and techniques. I tested various approaches to improve my predictions, analyzing patterns, tweaking algorithms, and refining my methods. Along the way, I wasn't just building a tool—I was building my knowledge. The more I worked on it, the more excited I became to learn new methods and apply them creatively.

Over the years, I've reached a point where I feel confident in my ability to predict games with a level of accuracy that satisfies me. But what's even more rewarding is the journey itself—the lessons learned, the skills gained, and the passion reignited every time I tackle a new challenge.

Investing in yourself doesn't mean taking massive leaps all at once. It's about showing up each day and committing to progress, however small. Whether it's refining your craft, learning a new skill, or exploring an idea you're passionate about, every effort counts. For me, the thrill of connecting learning to something I love has been transformative. I can't wait to share more about this journey—and I hope it inspires you to find your own 1% every day.
